12-Month Traineeship – Cert III Business Administration

An exciting opportunity has become available through a collaboration between Harvey Community Resource Centre (HCRC), Harvey Aboriginal Corporation (HAC) and Harvey Community Radio (HCR). 

This is an entry level traineeship and would be ideal for someone looking to gain qualification and experience in business administration. 

Key responsibilities and duties will be related to: 

  • Business administration 
  • Customer service 
  • Finance 
  • Board support 
  • Retail assistance 
  • Community development 
  • Communications and marketing 

Skills gained will include: 

  • Basic finance including MYOB 
  • Microsoft Office and computer skills 
  • Communication and interpersonal skills 
  • Organisational and time management skills 
  • Workplace organisation, wellness, and safety 
  • Desktop publishing, designing spreadsheets, creating electronic presentations, business, and digital text documents 

The traineeship is funded by Harvey Community Resource Centre via a traineeship grant made available through the Department of Primary Industries and Regional Development (DPIRD) – Royalties for Regions grant round. 

A basic training wage will be offered to the successful applicant, with full-time training over a 12-month period for the term of the traineeship. All agreed associated training costs will be funded. 

The trainee will be based in Harvey, rotating through three facilities – Harvey Community Resource Centre, Boola Bidi Dreaming Centre, and Harvey Community Radio. 

The successful applicant will be required to provide a Police Clearance Check no older than 6 months and obtain a Working With Children card. 

There may be potential ongoing opportunities with Harvey Aboriginal Corporation upon completion.
